Prof. Dr. Steven Arnold Juenke, L.Ac., M.D.Ac., Ph.D.(A.M.), O.M.D., Cand.

Scholar, Published Author, Sage-Physician. Dr. Juenke is an internationally known practitioner and educator of Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine, an Honorary Member of the Board of Advisors to the Indian Board of Alternative Medicine, Calcutta, India, and is a past Chief Administrator/Dean and Clinical Director to the Colorado School of Traditional Chinese Medicine (CSTCM) (1). Dr. Juenke provided Jordan with thousands of hours of clinical time and experience with his own patients, and professional guidance/expertise in the areas of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the methods for completion of an academic dissertation. Above even these contributions, Dr. Juenke is Jordan’s father, and has been her main influence for entering into the field of Medical Qigong; Thank you for being the “finger pointing to the moon” in so many ways.

Dr. Juenke is currently practicing medicine in Fairbanks, AK at the Jade Mountain Clinic.

 

Shifu Dr. Bernard Shannon, DMQ, DTCM

Founder of ICMQ, former Executive Director of the IIMQ and  Deputy Director of the Overseas College of Medical Qigong for Henan University of TCM (China). Dr. Shannon served as Chairman and member of the Board of Directors for the National Qigong Association (NQA, U.S.), has over 25 years experience teaching and practicing Medical Qigong, and holds the NQA’s status of Advanced Clinical Therapist and Level IV Qigong Teacher. He currently serves as the Vice Chairman and Executive Director of the World Academic Society of Medical Qigong (China), is Abbot of the Temple of Peace and Virtue, ordained Daoist Priest and lineage holder for three sects of Daoism. Dr. Shannon is an internationally recognized teacher of Medical Qigong therapy, Daoist cultivation, alchemical and mystical practices and martial concepts (2).  Jordan’s Master of Medical Qigong (MMQ) and Doctor of Medical Qigong (DMQ) level trainings were conducted under the instruction of Dr. Shannon. He is a great resource, providing a professional environment for students from all over the world to attend, offering an extensive curriculum (rooted in and expanded from Dr. Jerry Alan Johnson’s original work and vision for the furtherment of Medical Qigong) and demanding instruction methods aimed at deepening the self awareness, skills and abilities of practitioners of Medical Qigong.

 

Master Zhongxian Wu 

Born on China’s eastern shore in the city of Wenling in Zhejiang Province, Master Wu began practicing Qigong and Taiji at an early age after first-hand experience with its transformational qualities. He has dedicated himself to the study, preservation and transmission of the classical Chinese arts, including Qigong/Neigong, Taiji, internal martial arts, Chinese medicine, astrology, cosmology, calligraphy and music, and Yijing science. Master Wu worked as an Aerospace Engineer in Xi’an for 12 years, was the Director of the Shaanxi Province Association for Somatic Science and the Shaanxi Association for the Research of Daoist Nourishing Life Practices, during which he conducted investigations into the clinical efficacy of Qigong.  He is the former Senior Instructor and Resident Expert of Qigong and Taiji at Portland, Oregon’s National College of Natural Medicine (NCNM, 2001) and was a sub-investigator of a 2003 Qigong research program sponsored by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in the USA. Master Wu is a lifelong Daoist practitioner and lineage holder of four different schools of Qigong and martial arts, and has instructed thousands of students (Eastern and Western) since 1988. He is a prolific writer and published author and, along with his wife,  Dr. Karin Taylor Wu, founded Blue Willow World Healing Center and currently teaches all over the world (3). His deep wisdom in the areas of the classical Chinese arts and Daoist philosophies is thoroughly enriching.
